Enhanced Stations Initiative
MTA New York City Transit

Architectural Designer, Grimshaw Architects

July 2016 - April 2018
New York, NY
Construction Completed

Station Renovations: MTA initiative to reinvent 30+ existing subway stations to improve safety, wayfinding, and atmosphere. These stations are prototypes for the rest of the system and construction has been completed on all of them. Grimshaw designed furniture, building-integrated information displays, lighting, turnstile gates, entry canopies, and finishes to be adapted system-wide.

Role: design, visualization, documentation, and consultant coordination using Adobe Suite, Microstation, AutoCAD, and Rhino.

Design Guidelines: As part of the MTA initiative to re-envision subway station design, Grimshaw produced a Design Guidelines document for the MTA to outline how the station design could be implemented in all the stations across the five boroughs. (Images below are limited due to confidentiality).

Role: developing diagrams and visuals for this document while simultaneously working on design of the initial stations.
